Linking multiple result types from the same experiment, using TEOID

The test occasion ID (TEOID) field in the ACTIVITY file is used to tie together different activities that were obtained on the same 'test occasion'. E.g. For the same compound, dose, and time point.

Many data sets contain multiple result types of high importance, for example, potency and efficacy in a functional assay. These might be measured with result types such as EC50 and intrinsic activity, respectively.

Or, an assay may involve multiple biological replicates for the same conditions. For example 5 different animals or plate wells may share the same experimental conditions and have the same TEOID

Other assays measure very many result types simultaneously; a signal from any one of which would suggest a 'signal' in the assay. An example might be the measurement of multiple markers in the blood after dosing with a particular drug.

Using the TEOID

• The TEOID is an optional numeric field.

• The TEOID only has meaning within the deposition. Values (such as 1,2,3, etc) can be re-used between depositions.

• All linked ACTIVITIES should be given the same TEOID.
